COUNTRY PROFILES

Africa Country Profiles

This article is jointly written by Kakehashi Africa and Axcel Africa as part of our efforts to promote cross-regional understanding and collaboration between Japan and African countries.

Kakehashi Africa is a network established by alumni of the ABE Initiative program, a Japanese government scholarship aimed at fostering future African leaders. In addition to offering opportunities to pursue a master’s degree in Japan, the program includes internships at Japanese companies, cross-cultural exchange, and business skill training.

After returning to their home countries, participants continue to engage through follow-up support and networking with Japanese companies and fellow alumni. Kakehashi Africa serves as a platform to strengthen ties between Africa and Japan, empowering alumni to become bridges for collaboration and innovation across regions.
